Antique 1899 Sterling Silver Pill Box · Victorian Repoussé Trinket Box

A charming little Victorian silver pill box dating to 1899, beautifully decorated with raised scrolling foliage surrounding a blank central cartouche.
 
The round box has wonderful detail for its small size, with an ornate repoussé-style design across the lid and a warm gilt interior that creates a beautiful contrast with the silver exterior. The central cartouche appears to have been left unengraved, making this an especially lovely piece for a collection or a special gift.
 
Hallmarked and bearing the date letter Z for 1899. The box measures approximately 25 mm across and 14 mm high and weighs 6.2 grams.
 
A wonderful survivor from the late Victorian period, with the gentle surface wear and patina expected of a piece more than 125 years old.
