A Simple 20% Import Tariff Rate for U.S. Orders

 

We’re happy to once again offer shipping to our customers in the United States!

With the recent changes to U.S. import tariffs, shipping vintage and estate jewellery across the border has become a little more complicated. Because our collection includes one-of-a-kind pieces made in Canada, the United States, Britain, Europe and around the world, the actual tariff can vary depending on a piece’s country of origin.

Rather than charge the potentially much higher tariff rates that may apply to some individual pieces, we’ve chosen to use a flat 20% import tariff rate across our U.S. orders.

 

This allows us to keep things simple and predictable while absorbing some of the uncertainty ourselves.

 

What You'll See at Checkout

 

For U.S. customers, your shipping charge at checkout includes:

• Approximately 20% toward U.S. import tariffs and duties

• Tracked and insured shipping

• No unexpected tariff bill when your jewellery arrives

Because our website cannot calculate a percentage-based tariff directly, the amount is calculated using small price ranges based on the value of your order. This means the amount may vary slightly from exactly 20%.

No 50% Tariff Added Here

 

You may have seen reports of tariff rates as high as 50% on certain Canadian imports. We are not adding a 50% charge to your order.

​

Instead, we've chosen the much simpler 20% rate for our U.S. customers, regardless of where each individual vintage piece was originally made.

​

We know additional import costs aren't ideal, and we'll continue to adjust our U.S. shipping policy as the trade situation evolves.
