Dating to 1922, this English 9ct gold ring features three round rubies alternating with two small diamonds in a slender five-stone arrangement.
 
The stones are set into an elongated marquise-shaped panel, with a larger ruby at the centre and smaller rubies at either end. Two diamond accents sit between the rubies, creating the classic alternating ruby-and-diamond sequence. Pierced openings along the edges and beneath the stones give the setting a delicate, airy construction.
 
The shoulders are particularly lovely, decorated with engraved scrolling and foliate motifs that taper gradually into the polished yellow gold band. The ring sits relatively low to the finger, making the intricate detailing noticeable without a high-profile setting.
