Antique 9ct Gold Garnet & Seed Pearl Ring · Victorian Three Stone Ring
An antique 9ct gold garnet and seed pearl ring featuring three rich, deep-red faceted garnets accented by four creamy seed pearls.
The arrangement centres on a substantial approximately 7 mm garnet, with a smaller approximately 5.35 mm garnet at either side. Between the garnets sit two pairs of approximately 2.5 mm seed pearls, creating a beautifully balanced alternating design across the finger.
The setting is particularly detailed. Each garnet is held in an open claw setting above an ornate pierced gallery of scrolling goldwork. The scroll decoration continues onto the shoulders before tapering into the polished gold band. The garnets are open-backed, allowing light to enter the stones and bring out their deep wine-red colour.
The interior carries a series of traditional British-style hallmarks, including clearly visible 9 and 375 fineness marks for 9ct gold, together with additional assay/date and maker's punches which are unreadable.
A particularly pretty antique ring with considerably more detail in its setting than is apparent from the top alone.
