A substantial antique 9ct rose gold band with a wonderfully simple, timeless design and an intriguing piece of personal history hidden inside.
 
The ring is exceptionally wide at approximately 10.75mm, giving it the bold appearance of a classic cigar band. Its smooth, undecorated exterior allows the warm rosy tone of the gold and substantial proportions to take centre stage.
 
Inside the band is the hand-engraved name “R.J.S. Skidmore,” preserving a small connection to one of the ring's previous owners. Personal engravings such as this add wonderful character to antique jewellery and are part of the history these pieces carry forward.
