Vintage 10K Gold Eastern Star Ring · Black Onyx Enamel OES Signet Ring
A striking vintage Order of the Eastern Star ring, crafted in solid 10K yellow gold and dating approximately to the 1940s–1950s.
The rectangular signet-style face is set with a polished black onyx tablet, providing a dramatic background for the colourful five-pointed Order of the Eastern Star emblem. Each point of the star is finished in a different colour of enamel and features the traditional symbols associated with the Order.
The setting has wonderful period character, with pierced geometric detailing along each shoulder and a softly stepped gold border framing the black onyx. It is an especially attractive example of vintage fraternal jewellery and would appeal to collectors of Masonic and Order of the Eastern Star pieces as well as anyone drawn to unusual vintage signet rings.
The black stone responds on a Presidium gemstone tester in a range consistent with quartz-family material, supporting its identification as black onyx.
The ring is marked 10K along with a manufacturer's trademark. The maker has not been identified.
A wonderful piece of mid-century fraternal history with beautiful enamel work and a very wearable design.
