Vintage 10K Gold Green Quartz Crystal Ring · Prasiolite Statement Ring

A wonderfully unusual vintage 10K gold ring featuring a large green quartz crystal with a beautiful organic character.
 
The large green quartz crystal measures approximately 17.6 × 12.45 mm and displays a beautiful translucent sage-green colour. Its colour and quartz test results are consistent with prasiolite, the green variety of quartz, although the stone has not been laboratory tested. Rather than a traditionally faceted gemstone, the quartz retains a more natural crystal-like form, creating a striking contrast against the polished yellow gold setting.
 
The large crystal is secured by four substantial prongs and elevated within an open gallery, allowing its shape and colour to remain the focus of the design. Broad gold shoulders taper into a comfortable band, beautifully balancing the generous proportions of the stone.
 
Weighing approximately 7.5 grams, this is a substantial vintage gold ring with plenty of presence on the hand. Its oversized crystal and bold gold setting give it a distinctly 1970s feel and make it a fantastic statement or cocktail ring.
