A vintage 10K yellow gold ring centred with a small round faceted ruby measuring approximately 2.5 mm. The ruby is elevated above the ring in a six-prong crown-style setting, making the bright pinkish-red stone the focal point despite its petite size.
 
The surrounding gold work is particularly unusual. Interlocking rectangular and angular openwork elements cross the top of the ring and continue into split, sculptural shoulders. From the side, the construction is quite architectural, with the ruby raised above the geometric framework.
 
The ring weighs 2 grams and is both stamped and tested as 10K gold. The styling and construction look consistent with a mid-century piece, approximately 1940s–1960s, with the geometric design showing some influence from earlier Retro jewellery.
