A distinctive vintage 14K gold ring combining warm yellow gold, contrasting white gold, rubies and diamond accents in an asymmetrical sculptural design.
 
The raised openwork setting has an organic floral and scrolling form rather than a conventional symmetrical cluster. Bright round rubies are scattered through the design in individual prong settings, while small diamonds add points of light to the contrasting white-gold details. A sweeping white-gold curve crosses the top of the ring, giving the design its characteristic two-tone appearance.
 
The gallery is open beneath the stones, allowing light through the setting, while the shoulders taper into a slender polished yellow-gold band. Its free-form arrangement and mixed-metal detailing give it a particularly strong mid-century vintage character.
