A romantic vintage cluster ring featuring a rich purple amethyst cabochon surrounded by a glowing halo of opals.

The centre stone is an oval amethyst cabochon (approx. 8mm x 6mm), bezel-prong set and beautifully domed with a deep, velvety violet tone. Surrounding it is a full halo of round opals (approx. 2.5mm each), each displaying lovely flashes of green and blue fire.

The setting has a wonderful crown-style gallery with tall prongs and open basket work, giving the ring height and beautiful presence on the finger. It has that classic late 1960s–1970s cluster look — feminine, slightly dramatic, and very eye-catching.

A beautiful birthstone combination as well — February (amethyst) and October (opal).
