This beautiful pair of vintage sterling silver souvenir spoons features genuine 22k natural gold nuggets mounted at the top of each handle — a classic element of early to mid–20th century northern mining souvenirs.
One spoon is engraved “Whitehorse Y.T.” inside the bowl, identifying it as a keepsake from Whitehorse, Yukon Territory — an important region connected to the Klondike and northern mining history. The ornate scrolling handle design adds an elegant touch, while the nugget accents make the pair especially collectible.
Both spoons are stamped STERLING, 925, and an R maker's mark — a style commonly seen in North American-made sterling souvenir silver from the 1930s through the 1960s. The gold nuggets have been acid-tested and confirmed to be approximately 22k, consistent with natural placer gold from the Yukon and Alaska.
A wonderful set for collectors of Yukon memorabilia, mining-related artifacts, or vintage sterling souvenir spoons.
