This striking vintage piece from the 1980s channels the bold glamour of the Art Deco era with a dramatic design featuring glinting marcasites and glossy onyx. The centerpiece is an inverted teardrop-shaped onyx (measuring approx. 1.95cm x 1.4cm) that seems to radiate light, thanks to the detailed bursts of marcasite stones fanning outward from the stone.
This brooch was cleverly designed to be convertible – the back has two hooks, allowing it to be worn as a pendant on a chain. Please note: the pin clasp has been pressed closed, so it currently functions only as a pendant unless the clasp is professionally repaired by a jeweler.
The lower point of the stone is framed in a row of marcasites, which then sweep outward into a curved wave-like designwith vertical rows of stones for even more sparkle. All marcasites are present and secure.
