This charming vintage Taxco Mexico convertible pendant brooch features a beautifully detailed design with two sparrows in flight, a nest at the center, and floral and leaf accents throughout. Crafted in the early days of Taxco silver artistry, the piece is set with seven round turquoise stones and has tiny coral eyes accenting the birds, adding a touch of vivid character.
The back has both a pendant bale and a working pin clasp, allowing it to be worn as a brooch or a pendant. There is a small area at the bottom where it appears something may have originally hung, now missing—though it doesn’t detract from the beauty or integrity of the piece.
This is a lovely representation of Mexican folk art and nature-inspired design, lightweight and full of vintage charm.
