This stunning antique serving / master butter knife was crafted by Gorham Manufacturing Company, one of America’s most admired silversmiths. Made of solid sterling silver, it features the iconic lion–anchor–G hallmark and the richly sculpted florals, scrolls, and acanthus detailing associated with Gorham’s Chantilly pattern era (introduced 1895).
This particular knife is a variant serving piece — a beautifully shaped, gently curved blade paired with an ornate Art Nouveau handle. At 48.7 grams, it has a wonderful hand feel and a quality that modern silver simply doesn’t match.
An heirloom-quality piece that serves beautifully as a fish knife, fruit knife, pastry server, or charcuterie accessory. Exceptional for collectors or those who love antique tableware with character.
