A beautifully crafted vintage sterling silver thimble featuring a striking domed Blue John stone on top. Fully hallmarked for Birmingham, England, and dated 1989, this thimble was made by silversmith D.S. Williams. The vivid purple and white banding in the Blue John is characteristic of this rare fluorite found only in Derbyshire, UK. A lovely piece for collectors of sewing antiques or British silver.
